Alberta Lucas, 40, passed away on October 7, 2020 in Philadelphia, PA. She was born on April 3, 1980 in Philadelphia to Christopher Eugene Lucas and Shirley Mae Keyes.

Alberta grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from University City High School in 1998. After high school she attended college at Community College of Philadelphia where she received a degree in science. She began work for Durham School Bus as a Bus driver where she received her CDL License and worked for three years. She later went to work for Greyhound Bus Lines where she was employed for four years.

Alberta was a great, present, and patient mother. She dabbled in other talents such as cooking and enjoyed singing 80's and 90's music. Alberta also had a competitive love for playing games. She appreciated spending quality time with loved ones or just relaxing watching 80's and 90's sitcoms. She also had a love for Mountain Dew drinks.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher Eugene Lucas and Shirley Mae Keyes, and sister, Bernice White.

Alberta is survived by her daughter, Anyee of Philadelphia; her siblings, Priscilla of North Carolina; Christopher, Janee, and Maisha of Pennsylvania,  and nieces and nephews, Justin, Ronniesha, Shanquella, Jayauntae, Anthony, Damir, Christopher, Zyrif, Jashya, Mahogany,Maria, Kareem, and Nafis; several great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 10 AM to 11AM in Montrose Cemetery, 8504 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.  A memorial service celebrating Alberta's life and burial will follow at 11 AM.
