Agatha "Aggie" P. (nee Lennon) Kane of Upper Darby passed away on June 1, 2024.  She was 92 years old.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (nee Hannigan) Lennon.  She was also the beloved wife of the late Donald F. Kane, Sr. for 59 years until his passing in 2019.

Aggie was a graduate of West Catholic High School in Philadelphia.  After raising her four children, she proudly studied to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and worked for various facilities such as Fair Acres and Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital.

Aggie was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and loved Irish music, Saint Patrick's Day, her membership with the Irish Immigration Center, and visits to County Mayo in Ireland, where her parents were born.  She also enjoyed watching the Phillies, traveling with her family, and leading the Mummers Strut on the dance floor.

Family meant the world to Aggie and spending time together was her favorite pastime.  She recently served as the matriarch of the Lennon family and will be dearly missed by her four children, Donald Kane, Jr. (Kathy) of Garnet Valley; Kevin Kane of Los Angeles; Eileen Kane of Philadelphia; and Denise Farrelly of Ardmore; five grandchildren, Donald Kane, III, James Kane, Bernadette Kane (TJ), Meghan Lindner, and Kaitlyn Farrelly; five great grandchildren, Juliet Kane, Owen Lindner, Violet Kane, Ella Kane, and Joseph Lennon Kane; many nieces and nephews; and longtime friends from different avenues of her life.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her ten siblings, Stephen, Catherine, Bea, Mary, Margie, Peter, Doll, Rita, Eileen, and Jimmy.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home, 8500 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.  A viewing will also be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, PA 19083.  A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
